Jess and Sean's Johns Island wedding

Jess and Sean didn’t let a little rain put a damper on their big day. After a brief weather delay, the wedding went off without a hitch at The Island House on Johns Island. What a fun couple, and a night to remember.

Thanks to Elizabeth Cryan for having me on as her second shooter.

Product Photography for Ink by Stephanie

Stephanie Coccaro creates beautiful ink art on coasters, cheese boards, and switch plates. I had a lot of fun exploring the colors in these products while I helped Ink by Stephanie update its product photography.

From the client:

“A friend recommended Colin and from the first day we seemed to be a good fit. He understood my needs and the limitations that I had and after our first meeting I felt confident in his ability to meet or exceed my expectations and did he ever! He not only stayed on track with timing but he stayed on my budget. His communication skills are excellent. I knew what was going on throughout the whole project and he was always able to answer whatever questions I had. I will be working with Colin again in 2019. If you have an e-commerce presence I suggest you work with him.”

Waker live at The Pour House

I had the pleasure of shooting Waker, a 7-piece band from Nashville, this weekend at the Pour House in Charleston. My high school buddies Chase and Conor formed the band a few years back, and luckily they made it to Charleston on their tour.

Charleston Pride!

The Charleston Pride Parade was lit! It was great to see so much enthusiasm and support for the LGBT community. I was an official Pride photographer, and had some fun following the parade around town.

The Choir School Celebrates 25 Years

To celebrate their 25th season of world-class music education, The Choir School at St. Peter's and I threw a little party. There was confetti and balloons, and we got some great photos.

A week on the river

Every summer, I spend a week with my family fly fishing Goose Creek, a tributary of the Rio Grande in southwestern Colorado. Standing in the river has always been a special kind of zen for me, and not having any cell service makes it easy to get away. The property is part of the Rio Grande Headwaters Land Trust, which will keep this area pristine for generations to come.

A weekend in the Northeast

I spent last weekend in Boston and Maine visiting a close family friend. His family has had their camp on Flying Pond for almost a century, and it's a little slice of heaven.

On to the next one.

For the last four years, I have been lucky enough to run a thriving business with some of my best friends and creative collaborators. We've worked with interesting clients in a variety of industries to create beautiful brands and build cutting-edge web technology. I've learned so much.

Recently, we made the difficult decision to close Annex, and move onto our next big adventures. We will close our doors for good on July 15th. I would like to thank all of the friends and family that have supported us through the last four years.

I'm going to spend some time unwinding and refreshing my portfolio. I will begin taking new photography clients starting July 15.
